RAM_Designs Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 450 seems kinda cheap for a tc sounds lms woofer. yeah it doesn't even have the original coil, which probably took away a lot of the price. Yeah, the LMS coil is the whole point of getting an LMS sub. Honestly, it's not even a LMS anymore, just a normal sub with a normal coil. The LMS tech in the coil is what keeps the BL so linear and allows ~3" of clean excursion. 8ight Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 alright awesome, ill make a simple box for now until i can get some actual specs on it. i feel like 4 cu ft net tuned to 31hz will be okay. unless someone recommends otherwise? Don't know why you're shooting for such a huge box, this isn't an HDC3. I'd go for 3.5ft^2, whatever frequency you want, and lots of port area since I'm guessing you want high output. armykyle1 Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 You could honestly get away with 3 cubes, that motor has a lot of force. TC sounds subs have always been small boxed monsters. Even without an LMS coil, the sub should perform quite well, if it's build properly. I'd personally run 3.5cubes tuned to 32 with 60^2 of port. Jordan Guess Posted August 19, 2012 Author Report Posted August 19, 2012 how much would i be looking at for a TC coil for it? im kinda bummed now that it seems this thing wont perform like it should. and 3.5 cu ft net im assuming? Quote
BobbyG2 Posted August 20, 2012 Report Posted August 20, 2012 (edited) Maybe email tcsounds and ask for a quote on a recone. Edited August 20, 2012 by BobbyG2 Quote *New vehicle and system coming soon.*

Gross volume is meaningless figure for spec use, a brand new LMS-R 15" sub is $433. Quote
