I say keep the outside 100% stock looking. Then when a cop hears the boom that van would be last place they would look. Set up wise maybe something nuts like 30 10's for a change of pace rather than huge subs.

Edit: maybe a cool idea would be to run a contest and let us fourm rats pick the build .

I see an opportunity for mobile advertisement for SMD products, J/S, since it's not a daily driver, and just a comp van lol. I really dont want to sound like i'm jockin their style, but something along the lines of the SoundLabs van? Open the back doors and see a sweet ass amp rack, and a place for demoee's to be sitting in the back with TV's and such lol. But this is Steve's van and he will build something sick as hell like always! can't wait to see everthing!

Got an idea for you -

4 21-in subwoofers mounted to a walled t-line. each pair facing opposite each other and are mounted in the line. The front of subwoofers fire into the line which goes to the back of the van, then comes around and goes towards the front.

From the cabin you'd see 2 tall vertical ports with the backs of the woofers mounted within them(exposed).

Each pair is in it's own t-line.

The facing of the wall can be for woofers, midbass and highs.

Our new triple 320 amp alternator kit might fit that puppy. We've never tried to put one on a 4.3L Astro van, but the front of the motor is the same as the 9600-2000 5.7L so it should all bolt up. Just let me know what color you want the alts to be and we'll get one on the way !!!

I doubt it would. The engine speed cables and water hose and other small things like dip sticks/ air intake will get in the way. The triple alt in the link above fits onto the existing alt mounts right? Well the double alt bracket you made for me removed that if you remember which gave us some height..

I would say your double bracket, and AC pump thrown out is the way forward. With the chance of adding a 4th if you cut more firewall..
