8ight
well it actually was an accident not purpously haha, he was over my back and constantly telling me hurry hurry cmon dude cmon and just kept touching me and moving me out of the way so it really was an accident haha "accident" means on purpose. accident means accident. "I was installing my friends system and I accidentally cut his power wire too short, but it was cool since he was being a dick and rushing me anyways." That's an accident I'm gonna hate

dyablo409
I haven't messed up I always do perfect work. J/K. I once put the remote wire in the kick panel when I went to put the panel the wire was in-between one of the clips and the metal. Everything was turned off but when we turned it on it went up in smoke. It was not fun at all

dog24fret
Put in a new harness in a 55 Chevy bel air for a custermer. Forgot to double check the assecery wire to main fuse box wasn't fully installed. Then same car after fixing that the stereo was on but no sound. Forgot to put fuse back in the power wire for amps. Then tuning the amps dropped the panel tool on the power wire terminal of the sub amp. No more amp. I hated that f#^@en possessed car. RooTxBeeR
Making the mistake of not taking out the fuse on my power wire when reconnecting my buddies amp inside my car, magic smoke! Also, when I first got my DD-1, and I was tuning the mids/highs. I forgot to turn the music down, and went to plug in a speaker and got blasted with 1khz to the dome at full tilt. Also, did the same with my sub, with the 40hz test tone, and seen a spark jump from the sub terminal to the sub wires because it also was at full tilt. mikelbolton
I let Best Buy do a "free install" with purchase of head unit. Let's say when they were done with it, I had to redo all the wiring. :-( Inverting my subs, and didn't completely line one up. Gasket was leaking, and that's how I burned my first coil on my setup. I'm usually the one that has to fix others' installs... not to say I haven't had my fair share of incidents... 2011 Chevrolet Aveo(click for build log)Clarion NX-603SKAR 4500.1DIraggi 320A alt Knukonceptz 1/0 Kollosus Fleks Cable8 AWG Sky High Car Audio OFC 1/0- Sky High Car Audio 2- XP3000 XS Power BatteriesSMD VM-12- 12" Ascendant Audio Mayhems Toolmaker Fuse block Toolmaker Bus Bars (Last Season scores 1-15" Mayhem) 145.2 dB- Sealed @ NSPL World Finals (9/28/14) 148.1 dB- Hardcore @ NSPL World Finals (9/27/14) 150.23-- Hardcore on 4500 Watts!!!! OrionStang
On my xl build, got the box all wrapped nice, subs installed. To get the box in, the seat and console have to come out. I get the box in and reinstall seat and console. Turn on to test, nothing. I didn't hook the wires to the subs before screwing them down. Lesson: Take your time. If you hurry, you'll have to do it twice. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
