Any reason you decided to leave the inside bare? inside of box is bare because i just never got around to finishing it. it seemed i was always climbing in and out to change things. i change something with this box every week it seems. I've had this system running for about 4-5 months now and have only blown 2 which are my own fault. Just got one little concern with it if I may share - you did: 149.9 db w/ 12 12s on 3 1700s @ 2 ohm each (about 1200 watts per amp) 151.2 db mounted normally and with a chain added (still at 2 ohm) 154.8 db - 8 12s on 2 1700s at .5 each If the first two were done with 2 ohm, then what did you do with all 12 and the amps being at .5 ohm? You took out 4 and the amp that you said doesn't like .5 ohm. I think that you should try all 12 and .5 ohm (check and double check everything), and see how well you do. My only thing is that taking out 4 speakers would not allow for a gain in db alone. But you took the 4 out, and then wired down to a .5 ohm load which would yield a higher wattage output from the amps.
