ALPINE408
can you use L brackets to assemble it? i would NEVER use L brackets cleats and the kreg jig suck the wood down and "clamp" it to the other piece of wood L brackes just hold it there Have you ever had your woofers blown? DubNDodge
I'm so hyped, I just want to order all my stuffs and get building lol. I just have to try and justify with my parents on spending $800+ on audio. Hopefully in three more months I'll have my own card and won't have to worry about askin to use theirs to order things and give them the cash. I am fortunate though that my dad has a wood shop. So I have all the tools that I need '01 Dodge Stratass Sealed Trunk Build Log 2008 Honda Fit Sport Build Log On 10/3/2013 at 10:00 AM, ROLEXrifleman said: Anyone who says they knew everything they wanted out of life at 19 can go suck a bag of dicks cause they are lying to themselves or brought up in a cult. kingsuv
Pocket hole jig I found to not be as strong with mdf. when your only grabbing half the wood, it's easier to split. So be careful. A strong wood glue with a caulking bead and it will last forever. Just ask Mario about taking one apart Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
DubNDodge
That was my next question. Is wood glue strong enough by itself? If I get it clamped tight would it need screws? herbykw
Yes it would still need screws. The way I made my boxes, put it together in pieces so that when if goes in you still have access to the panels that need screws. I used Gorrilla glue and caulking before I screwed them together. It was a pain in the ass to get out, but held together great 06 300C 5.7 Hemi K&N CAI JVC KW-AVX640 6.1" DVD DC Audio 3.5k 6 DC Audio 8"s 6 cubes 8" aero port at 32hrtz http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/183798-chrysler-300c-8-build/?p=2731834#entry2731834
audiofanaticz
Ive also built several boxes in the trunk. Im not a fan of kreg jig, and prefer double and triple layering wood, with lots of glue, resin, and fiberglass mat. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/146201-dodge-charger-10000watts-rms-to-a-pair-of-fi-btl-n3s/#entry2074482

RCP Audio
^^ thats okay cause your meant to move the port anyway... PSN: Rcp_soundz Good rule of thump is go by what fuse size is being used in these amps. The higher the more amperage it pulls, this is what I look at. I'll stick a 300 amp fuse in a potato and sell it to you for $2k. 1991 Mazda 323VERY small build thread here: http://www.stevemead...23-small-build/
