Jessica
So, i was in Topeka, stopped at the Home Depot. Tey helped me put a couple of sheets of 3/4" MDF on a cart. Went back and had them rough cut so I could haul them home. We get half way through the second sheet and I start looking a bit closer at the wood. I say to the guy, I don't think this is 3/4". He said, "you sure?" I look at the tag on the side and it's 5/8" mdf... Yeah, I say to him, "you know, the tag said 3/4" and I've bought tons of mdf but I don't know how i didn't notice that" Then he said "Well our tags are above the item they go to" So when you look at a rack of lumber, the shelf its on has the tag for whatever is under that shelf... Seriously? Anyway, the guy was cool about it because they didn't have any 3/4" in stock and he said, "just leave it and I will mark it down". Man, I felt like an idiot. But, My wife bought me a table saw so i feel better now. Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. My super random youtube channel and terrible camera work. OrionStang
The stripes are on the edge of the sheet, not the face. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

Namosh
Maybe it depends what mill it comes from. I have never noticed any kind of markings on the edge of any MDF I've ever bought. But then again, I'm not all that observant. My Ram Quad Cab Blow-through
