USAFsound Posted November 25, 2012 Report Posted November 25, 2012 I just ordered 2 SA-15 D2s and I already have a kicker zxs1500.1 should I upgrade to a bigger amp or will this be fine. I know that the SA-15 is only rated at 600w rms but that is definitely a conservative rating.
Omega5002 Posted November 25, 2012 Report Posted November 25, 2012 Should be a good amp for those 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)
Sonic Posted November 25, 2012 Report Posted November 25, 2012 750 rms per sub should be fine, but depending on your goal that will determing if to upgrade your amp.
zxsonnyxz Posted November 25, 2012 Report Posted November 25, 2012 Would you have the electrical to back up a bigger amp? I think if you have the room to get a good box for them it should work well on that amp. Given you have (half) decent electrical. USAFsound Posted November 26, 2012 Author Report Posted November 26, 2012 I've done the big three and I have a die hard platinum group 34 marine battery under the hood. Everything is 0 gauge and I believe my 02 explorer has a 130 amp alt. I plan on adding a second battery in the back and upgrading the alt soon.
wmrcs Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 Looks good. I wouldn't run TOO much more power but if you're careful they'll take it like champs. You will love dem bitchez E34 540iT/6
