Wiseracing2
I'm soon going to order a Rockford T1000.1 which comes in around 1500 RMS, and i was looking at either an Fi Bl which is 1500rms or Fi SSD which is 1000... which would be louder? The motor is bigger on the Bl but it wont be getting any excessive power like the SSD would... So which would be a better choice? I want whichever is gonna be louder! MrSkippyJ
you have a 1000watt amp, think of it that way. I love rockford stuff, I use lots of it! But their birthsheets cause more problems than they solve. SnowDrifter
Aren't their birthsheet tests carried out at 14.4v with no rise? OP: I wouldn't worry about that. You should get whatever sub you please, both will match nicely with this amp ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
MrSkippyJ
not sure how rise figures into it, but yes at 14.4v. I don't mean to say the amp isn't capable of the birthsheet ratings, but the point of the birthsheet is to prove it does what it says it does, not that it does more...if that makes sense. SLAYER1805
I'd go with the SSD, you'll have extra power that can make up for the power lost in box rise and voltage drop and with me I like to have a little extra power so I can turn down the amp a bit to be safe and not be clipping/distorting but still have plenty of clean power and be as loud. But hey that's all up to you, like SnowDrifter said both subs will work great with that amp
