Nautiluz
Bmw M3 E92 with ESS superscharger 650hp. Goal with this build is to keep it as light as possible since weight affects the handling. And still have a competition car build for EMMA. Subwoofer box is made of 1" carbon fiber sandwich. Total weigt of stereo is 130lbs, components is most of it 100lbs.There is also possible to remove the entire setup in the trunk in less than 5min if I want to take the car for a spin on trackday.Pioneer P99RSFocal Dual Monitor (x2.)Focal Utopia Be n.5Focal Utopia 33WX2Stinger SPP1700Now some stereo pictures! 3mm Carbon fiber bottom plate with aloy frame and speakon connectionUsing speakon so that it will be possible to the out the entire audio system in the trunk in less than 5min. Start of the carbon fiber subwoofer enclosure. 22mm thick sandwich construction.48liters sealedGlued together.Total weight on enclosure as shown on picture is 3.5kgEnclosure nearly finished only mounting of plexi glass left. “Trim” around the sub is milled out of 3mm aloy with CNC router then grinded with dremel. I have also placed 50 small LEDs on the back of the ferrite magnet on the Utopia woofer, to lighten the aloy.Aloy amp rackPlexiglass is replacing the bottom plate on the Focal dual Monitors saves about 4 lbs.Mounted! Total weight 8 lbs Same aloy plate as I used in the subwoofer enclosure, 3mm CNC milled.Finished..In the beginning of this build I had in mind that I would use active crossovers. But 3-4 active dual monitor is going to be heavy. So I will only use the lower part of the rack the top will only be there for the top cover. Now how will this look in the trunk..
