Official "What did you do to your ride today" thread

1. Changed out the cheap Champion spark plugs with Denso Platinum plugs. The Champions had a gap of 0.44, the Denso had a gap of 0.35. People say plugs come pre-gap'ed. (?) The Ram needs 0.40. Truck runs smoother now.

2. Removed the K&N filter and replaced it with a Purolator. In my experience the only thing a K&N filter does is increase gas consumption with "inner city" driving.

3. Topped off the gas tank, $35. Devin put $30 in it since her B-day. So $65 in 17 days. Not bad. $30 per wk. The Jimmy was costing us $40 a wk!

I thought I was going to die from all the jizz filling my ears.

Nothing I did, but I let my mom use it to run into town this morning. On her way back an old lady decided to just pull out of her driveway in front of my mom at the last second. The road she was on it a 45 MPH road. My mom was able to swerve and avoid a serious accident but the lady's explorer caught the rear of my truck....

So now I get to spend my last week before going back to school dealing with getting it fixed. Need to call my rep to make sure it isn't going to effect my rate and that her insurance company will cover a rental for me.

Went to check the oil level in the Bimmer. Man it was very very low. I changed out the crank case vent body a few months ago. Well I never changed the front abs vent hose nor rear rubber hose needed to make things completely new. Well I cracked the front hose when I inspected it, and noticed the rear hose was compressed/pinched due to vacuum and age! All gummed up with oil deposits. Damn it!. Now I have to replace both hoses as well as the vent itself- again. I guess this is why the valve cover leaked after I replaced it >> too much positive pressure. Do ish right or don't do it at all at least with Bimmers!

Guess I'll be driving the Jimmy for a few more days! :D

Used mobil 1 exclusively for 6 years, but I hear a lot of great things about AMSOIL. Picked up the box for $30, so I can't complain, tho.
