DubNDodge
I just got around to see how well the ring terminals will fit on the 1/0 Knu Kolossus. I figured that the terminal would fit somewhat snug around the wire. Needless to say I was surprised to see that the ring terminals would actually fit around the wire and the sheathing. This will be my first time soldering 1/0 so I don't know exactly how to deal with this. I figure that my only choice is to put the wire in the terminal, then put the terminal in a vice and crank it down until it is snug around the wire, then solder. Or is there a better way to handle this issue? I rather solder than a hydraulic crimper. 30 ring terminals Edit: Added the last two pics '01 Dodge Stratass Sealed Trunk Build Log 2008 Honda Fit Sport Build Log On 10/3/2013 at 10:00 AM, ROLEXrifleman said: Anyone who says they knew everything they wanted out of life at 19 can go suck a bag of dicks cause they are lying to themselves or brought up in a cult. ric006
your ring terminals are too big even for soldering you need to get the appropreate size RT and the wire looks like 4ga

DubNDodge
Well its Knu 1/0 which is oversized 1/0 Ofc. The ring terminals are also oversized 1/0. So I figured they would be a good match up. SnowDrifter
Just squeeze the terminal around the wire. No biggie Don't crank it down, just so it's snug. I do that to mine so it uses less solder haha ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

I didn't know if cranking it down would weaken the terminal any, but I guess it isn't going to have huge force put on it anyways '01 Dodge Stratass Sealed Trunk Build Log 2008 Honda Fit Sport Build Log On 10/3/2013 at 10:00 AM, ROLEXrifleman said: Anyone who says they knew everything they wanted out of life at 19 can go suck a bag of dicks cause they are lying to themselves or brought up in a cult. Toa ll the people saying its not's 1/0, quit being ignorant, he has a pic of the damn wire with 1/0 written on it.
