Leo1103
I'm a bit confused about wiring an amp to different ohm loads. As far as I know wiring an amp to .5 ohms puts more strain on you electrical right? 2002 Honda CR-VAlpine 9887My BuildRebuilding... Chris Hammer
Amps are generally less effecient at lower loads. They might be 75% effecient at 1ohm and 60% at .5ohm. Those are just to make my point not real numbers or close to what the difference probably is. But the drop in effeciency and it outputting more power = a much larger draw on your electrical. Usually going from 1ohm to .5ohm is a larger difference than 2ohm to 1ohm. Chris Hammer
okay I thought so, can you give me some proof so I can show my friend? Im not really sure how to show proof. Look for some clamp tests that show output and efficiency maybe. MY BUILD *****http://tinyurl.com/gmcbuild***** Vehicles 2005 GMC Canyon CB1000r - Currently where any future funds are going. Kyblack76
Im not sure what proof would work for your friend either, but, normally a amplifers sheets will show more power made at lower ohms, and the corrisponding drop of efficiency....
