kidd666 Posted February 1, 2013 Author Report Posted February 1, 2013 that looks sweet. could i get a better shot of the inside to see whats going on there?
07 thunder Posted February 1, 2013 Report Posted February 1, 2013 how do you know that you want it tuned that low? you are aware that it's completely possible to play low with a higher tuning, right?negative ghostwritter also, l7s hate sealed boxes.
Joe X Posted February 2, 2013 Report Posted February 2, 2013 You now have a nice design from john253a, the port panel is the only thing inside and is 20" x 16 1/2" the rest is bracing which you can just do with a couple of wooden dowel rods instead.
kidd666 Posted February 2, 2013 Author Report Posted February 2, 2013 thank you joex i just wasnt sure if the rest of that was for the port or not
cloud77 Posted February 3, 2013 Report Posted February 3, 2013 if you know how to kerf, i can change the port to suit 5.2 cu ft? I don't think you need to go that big, tuning is fine but you don't need to have that much length. won't you be overpowering a kicker L7 at 1500? 2004 Grand Prix GT (2) 12" RE XXXs (04/05 XBL^2) 5 cu. ft tuned @ 35 Hz MMATS HD4000.05 MMATS SQ4100 Infinity Kappa components Juice Box black cherry Duralast platinum group 34 1/0 KNU OFC, 2/0 welding Singer 250A
kidd666 Posted February 3, 2013 Author Report Posted February 3, 2013 it wont actually see 1500 watts. i dont have a 14 volt system and who knows if the amp actually does rated but even if it did im still not going to be running it on 14.5 volts like everything is tested at

My hand on testing with L7s are they can be BEAST in a sealed box. Hit every note great from 25-70, no joke. john253a Posted February 3, 2013 Report Posted February 3, 2013 sealed has a place, and some have even been known to win same awards in sq with the L7 it just wouldnt be my first chose, because noone is buying an L715 for a sq setup, are they? and its not like there aint any space back there, you could fit 2 in that space

In a big enclosure (according to the Kicker manual), it will deliver more output/bass.
