When I had my vvx 15's I was actually quite surprised with Kevin's great customers service. Although he didnt get very technical when aiding me or explaining my questions, he did indeed ALWAYS answer an email whithin the hour.

When I ordered my subs, I bought the "2 15's and a custom box" deal. The built the box promptly to my specs and that shipped first. I got it, but was dissipionted when I saw the lack of glue. I put some temp subs in there and it broke the box apart.. I reinforced it later on with bracing and it was all good

When I got the subs, the were actually the wrong size. I emailed Kevin and he was very apoligetic for the mishap and sent me a shipping label to have them shipped back. As soon as I have him proof of me shipping back the subs, he sent the correct ones with the following day. When the subs got here, I had no issues with them!

Not trying to promote or demote anyone, just sharing a personal situation with the company:)

Other forums dislike Skar audio because he has done quite a few shady things.

He also doesn't know what he talks about, posts wrong TS specs (they don't even make sence at all sometimes), he "forgets" to post some specifications, or posts them wrongly.(he once posted that the frequency range of he super tweeter was this: (and he said he corrected it, but it's still there.)

He also refuses to tell us how he measured things. (when getting called out for wrong specifications.)

He seems to only care about the $$$, not the customer or the products.

They have good product, I did not like however, When I asked kevin what size my box should be, while stating I am tuning to 28hz and wanting to have authority into the low 20's. He told me to build a 2.5cu ft for my IVX 15, which, I am severely unhappy with. I need to build a new box because i can barely even play down to 30hz with almost no authority.

What's the deal with skar audio and tenney alts? I'm not bashing at all but it seems like almost everyone who runs skar has a tenney alt. Legit question, I'm honestly curious.

That's cause you have too much port at that tuning, you lose range. Having a smaller box doesn't help either.

Well, I'm running Skar Audio cause I won them lol, free woofers are free woofers.

Though I don't trust Tenney alts, heard about too many issues, and being cheap throws me off too. Saving up for Singer instead (plus he makes the biggest alt for me )

Not 100% sure on the bashing ... But what I do know is Kevin has givin me great prices along with a few other companies I represent with my car. His zvx 12's sound great... Can play 23hz in my car strong... And are cold even after 1 hour of full tilt on my 2500. My 2500 is cold after an hour of play at 1 ohm... Dropping to about 13.1. Normal temps 70-80 degrees.

And my VVX 12's before them on the. Same 2500 took it like a champ. They would never get smelly and only got mildly warm after 30 minutes of full tilt. But then again they were taking over double rms.

Lets just say I'm getting another 2500 ASAP to see how the ZVX's hold up... And then I might build a wall with a couple more ZVX's. personally I think they supply a great product. Listed prices on websites are a bit high in my opinion. But I normally just give Kevin a shout and that's handled too. I'm gonna stay skar unless something horrible happens for what ever reason. But I don't see it happening soon.

No offense, but I would not have said this on a forum. That is undercutting all the dealers.
