I was not going to mix any subs. The Kicker are coming out. I can't find anything negative on the Obsidian subs. Open to ideas.

sorry I read that wrong haha. Obsidians are good quality subs for the price but like said before im not sure if you are going to gain a whole lot from subs that are that close to your L7's. What kind of price range are you looking at?

It's not so much price I am looking at but 400ish for the amp and roughly the same per sub I guess.

I was thinking that 3 12s in a solid ported box would pretty good. Also mt alt is stock. Thought of upgrading but not quite ready.

4 12s or back to 2 15s. I have 2 15s and love them. Plenty of room in that vehicle go with the 15s in a nice ported box. If you were happy with the kickers you will love these

Switching out to something even remotely close to what you have now is just pissing money away cause chances are you won't notice a difference and will be back posting as to why it hasn't changed. You will need to get into the 3k + watt range with something capable of taking that power built in a properly designed and built enclosure will sound much better.

If all you intend to do is switch gear to something closer to what you have now will only lead to disappointment and frustration and feeling like you just pissed away a lot of money.

2 18s if you have the room, if not you can go 15s, i would do sub up port back for good results in daily. The aq2200 or crescendo 2k.

anyway, it doesnt work like that

to make it easy will go off the actual size and not the true cone size

15 x15 x2off 450sq"

(6 x6 x(22/7)) x3off 340sq" (pieRsq for round)

now thats 25% less cone to change or 33% more cone to stay

well see what we can do

but i can tell you the box will be somewhere around 22x48x22" if you want it done right

and if your box is nowhere near that in size then you will see more of a difference doing that then any other upgrade or mod

I'm all for keeping the Kickers, building a new enclosure, upgrading your electrical to specs, and upgrading your amplifier power ...

^ I have a friend who has 2 15" kicker l7's running off hifonics BRE 2500.1 @ 1 ohm 4 batteries 0awg big three & 250 alternator. that amp isn't giving them enough power,

In some cases when when definitions and specifics are needed (like Sound Quality) ... maybe

But in your application ... no You would need ALOT more battery and power for this to even be considered ...

I'm not knocking you subs in question in any way, but they are not going to help you either without adequate battery power, amplifier power, and an experienced enclosure / system build ...
