There are a few guys who are sticking to the trunks very few though. You just run out of space. Next thing you know youve walled the same car or moved on to a get loud car. I still have a small daily setup but nothing major in my trunk car

Comin along great man, I wanna see some subs!!

Thanks bro.. and i know the feeling. Trust me. I wanna see them mounted sooooo bad.

Im actually a lil scared about doing it..... Im worried about getting them in, lined up straight, and then, not pokin a hole in the surround.. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Damn that rage lays down smooth! Looking good man.

Yes it does. i cant even imagine how it would perform/look by someone that actually knew what the fuck they were doing.

What did ray say about the amount of hardener.....the way you lay it down definately helps. Makes sanding even easier

Same as Justin commented on. Depending on the amount of course. (i do a cookie about 5" in dia) about the size of a BIG PEA. So, the quarter ref was pretty good.

i actually found that even less than the quarter worked tits for me. On the youtube video they show a tube nozzle thick bead across the 5" cookie. FUCK !!.. it set up in about 7 seconds, i shit you not. So, i dont know wtf thats all about. Then ray said "do a big large pea size for what your doing". That next mix, was the one that is glass.

I was so pumped, i ran in the house to get laura... all like a 4 year old.. screaming SEE !! SEE !! SEE!!..LOL.... fuck.

Coming along nicely man! I see you got the hang of it pretty fast :)

Been trying to get my lazy ass outside so I can work on mine lol.

Thanks man. And dude, the way yours looks, and where you at, i cant believe your not on that think 23 hours a day.... i would be.

Shit looks epic, and your almost there bro... damn.

Yeah id be so curious to see about that SONUS filler too, its supposed to be ULTRA light weight. Kyle, you're doing so fucking awesome for a first timer man, you really are. So my knockdown methods are as follows:

36 grit to knock down the ridiculous high spots followed by 80 for quite some time. Once you start to see the appearance of feathering, you can switch over to 220 grit. Make quite a few passes with the 220 it will take out the majority of your sand scratches, and then follow with 400. Some guys will go all the way down to 600 to prep for paint, but I use a high build primer and it fills the remaining scratches.

If you go to lay more filler, you can stop at the 80 or 220 stage. I go 220 to really see WHAT I have left and really zero in on my low and high spots.

I told that stuff would apply and sand like a dream. I wish I had been there to show you how to apply the catalyst, so you didn't waste too much. Depending how much you mix at one time, usually a quarter sized glob of hardener will give you a good result.

I'm glad to see the port wall looking tits man, it really does. Keep it up fucker, balls to to wall.

Thanks bro. Couldnt have done it with out you, and the others. Really really appreciate all the help and support. Sorry bout the late night (to you) calls/texts/messages/pics/questions and such.

So does the rear end sag any now that uv got the wall built?

Well, at the moment, about all i have is some wire, and 6-7 sheets of birch. I really havent noticed much, if any drop, or much of anything in the driving aspect.

BUT,

500lbs of batteries, 250ish pounds of drivers, the 10k, the 2 175.4's, and the other odds and ends, i suspect ill see "something?" ...

Well see?!?!?!

Didn't you have a trunk build?

Did yes sir. I really loved that build.

IMG_0388.jpg

I knew that build, inside and out. Had my DSP almost perfectly set up for my taste. I thought it looked, and sounded clean. Function, and fashion.

Not loud though. It could get down a bit, but,.. Time to move on.

He did in a different car. Most have come to outgrow their trunks so this is what happens

This and this ^^^^

Thanks.... Its been a struggle here and there. Thank god the good people here have bailed me out, on more that a 1000 occasions .....

Hell yeah. Hunter is throwing some serious weight around. Adam's always been killer, Ken, is well, trying like hell.

Scots, Dre and Treys, all epic, or will be.

Marios is insane, the ninja, dont forget (who could) Terry's monster, and of course DA HAMMA aka Rob.

Me and Laura, in Reno, at DC, with THOR in the record setter trunk.

Blew us away.... lol...

Trunk builds will never die, No way, no how.......

In fact, i think they are starting to really come alive, and into their own.

50's are getting "common" these days.

Its truly amazing what people are doing...

SORRY ALL, for the shitty LINK above, it seems to struggle when im at the plant on my work puter, for reasons, im to lazy to care about.

If someone could re do it, thanks....

Doors sound good! Makes me want to go to full coverage on mine... Do your door panels rattle tho? That's where most of my noise comes from, hopefully all this fiberglass I'm adding to them will stiffen them up a bit! Keep the updates going! Your giving me motivation! :D

Right now... The very worse rattle I have now is the "door handle" piece. The door handel assembly. The lock rods and opening rods. All that shit going on ther with plastic pieces. I'm struggling in shutting that up.

I can't deaden it. I can't lather over it. I can do another vid if ya don't get what I'm saying.

I'm tuned in... I know you are probably well past this part but would great stuff work for this? like bath it in the stuff then shave it down and leave just enough thickness to kill the rattle... or like maybe some rubber vacuum hose wrapped around it?

loving the work man... keep it up!
