Cuz i read that is a big no no to take the head units out of caddys unless u know exactly what ur doi and since i dont know i just desided to run bolth plus the stock head unit is really good in caddys anyway so why fuck with some thing that already works great u know it jus seemed easer to run a second one then tearinflg appart the whole dash to replace the old one plus i dont have the money right now to buy the nessesary conversion s you need to replace the deck

If you mess up o the install in a caddy it will fuck the whole car why would i want to do that i just bought it less than a month ago maby when i know more about how it works ill put in a double din touch scream or somthing but for now it works and i got the loudest shit where i live so im happy

i had my l7 15 in the back seat for the first few days before i built a new box, it didnt like it

If its a Bose then yeah its a lil more work but if its Base its fine. You just need to make sure you get the right GMOS adapter, i think its GMOS-02. No need to relocate radio, only thing you lose is chimes. I didn't do the install myself, a shop did, but yeah mine was replaced with no issues for the 3.5 years I had the aftermarket HU in there & it was stock Bose, I was made to believe on the Caddy forum that it was a bad idea lol.

Only thing was while running the stock bose front doors & tweeters/center channel I would get dimming of my headlights, once I switched to comps upfront and no center channel, while still using rear doors stock the dimming stopped. It was weird.

I think if you have the Bose audio system you would need the GMOS-06 for that car. It's pretty pricey compared to others. If I remember correctly it was like $80 but it retains the use of the Bose system as well as the chimes. As for replacing the radio, its just like any other deck for the most part. Just requires a little more wiring that's all.
