Ok i have a sundown e8 v3 dual 4

And i just hooked it up im running a jl e1200 mono block at 2 ohm and it does not move this sub. Box is .75 cu ft tuned to 33 hz

Ive had the amp set with the smd oslometer thing by a buddy i have 4 ga wires and 30 amp fuse so i know i have more than enough power for the amp but my door speakers are putting out more bass

So i was wondering amp suggestions for a good break in and daily play

Also i have a kicker dx125.2 that was running my 6x9s a while back would that be a better alt to the jl?

I just dont know how sundown like to be worked with yet First sundown

It's a 300 RMS sub and you're giving it 200 RMS, that could be the problem. Also what track did you and your buddy use with the SMD oslometer to tune the amp? Lol

I dont know what track i usually just do it by ear but i just couldnt hear the sub

And yeah i know its only 200 wats but from what ive seen if u dont break these subs in they tend to blow

But i cant break it in if its only humming i need it to beat

So i can get my hands on a kenwood kac 1800 w mono. But thatd be over powering it

Itd be 900 at 2 ohm

But thats about the only quality amps i can get ahold of easly around here so im wanting to order one but i just cant decide cuz i know ima get another e8v3 in a month or so

Pos to pos neg to neg

I know these e8v3s are beefy but 200w should move it more

Ive heard the hifonics brz1200.1d is kinda popular but would 600w be a lil much since its only had about 1 or 2 hours of play ?

I've got a v1.5 on 200rms

Very close to same sub

And it slams for an 8

I think something is wrong with you sub, amp or the way you set it

Secondly who designed the box and was it built to the design

First check the wireing to sub make sure it is in parrell and not series

Parrell will give you 200rms

Connect all 3 (+) together (2 on sub then to amp)

And the same for (-)

Series will give you 50-60rms

Sub (+) to sub(-) to amp (-)

Sub (-) to sub (+) to amp (+)

Check all the connection on the amp are tight and all the cable is in the connection

Then turn on music and a dmm and check voltage off the terminals at 1/2 and 3/4 and full tilt

Check the setting on the amp

First check its on LPF not HPF or full

The on the LPF check what hz it's set at

It should be 0-250 or 0-something

Set to around 70-100 for now

Then check if you input is set to 0-5v or 5-10v

Make sure you no your output voltage on H/U

And set to that

Turn bass boost all the way down

And gain at around 1/4 up from zero/off

After you do each check you start to find nothing wrong

you will find something is wrong with either amp or sub

If it works and just doesn't get down or drops out in volume on certain feqs/bass notes

check you box

And post some info about it here
