Stephen Dunnington
So at first, my brakes kept getting hard then soft and did this for a while, then it started going straight to the pads. And for a little I was able to ride on the pads, and now I can only for a brief 5 seconds. There's no leaks at all, is this a master cylinder problem? Tarball
its likely leaking between the master cylinder and the brake booster. What do you mean by "going straight to the pads" ? And are you SURE there are no leaks on any of the for wheels ? Stephen Dunnington
What I mean is, when I push down it goes to the floor but I'm still able to have a inch or so of braking. And when the cars off, the brakes are firm but slowly go to the floor. And there's no leaks at all, my brake level has not moved.

Skullz
Possible that your brakes are so worn the brake fluid level has dropped to the point it sucked air and now need to be replaced and bled. Possible the the master cylinder is going bad and losing pressure. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2

HatersGonnaHate
With the car off, it still slowly goes to the floor? Might want to check the brake booster as well. Could be a leak in the diaphragm inside the booster, but like said above, check fluid level and bleed the brakes. Nick580
there is air in the system. Liquids such as brake fluid do not compress, however air does.
