They are metal flared ports that slide in and out of each other for tune-ability . I have used ports like these since 2006 and can say they are the best way to get the most out of any system you plan on useing a areo port style port in. you can get them in a lot of sizes the pre made plastic ones dont come in, Ive used 7" 9" and 10" and im sure he makes even bigger ones than that.
