Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are! I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating! So I threw them in but it's too dark to get any good pics and forgot to take a pic of the dash installed but I'll wait till I wire them all up and get the dash speakers wired as well. This style door panel was made to be modified But this was enough for me, didnt need to add 10 mids and 5 tweets like some set ups but they do have to layout for it. As for the dash yeah I hope it handles the the bass, I made sure to cut into the plastic this time around to make sure the bondo grabs and the kitty hair(as instructed) and also the added support on the back should help. I am so excited to try these amps out on these subs on the 5k's....but you know what that feels like, I mean these are your amps lol! getting closer and closer by the day I know it's starting to come along, slowly but surely! It's nice driving around now and having a dash and door panels in being able to use my keyfob and roll my windows down really brings me back to this century! goodvibez Posted April 12, 2014 Report Posted April 12, 2014 well getting some work done on electrical got a fuse holder made for engine compartment and was going to start wiring them but lost my truck key's lol so taking a brake to upload some pics. decided to "flexi-dip" my terminals just for fun came out pretty good. Then started on the mount for the alt fuses I used all factory engine mounting bolt locations for this so I didnt have to make it harder on myself. Normally the stock air intake has a duramax 6.6 logo covering the engine a little but with an aftermarket air intake it rooves that and free's up a mounting point for this little project. Should give a decent idea of how its in there but still got some work to do making it look good. Looks like I'm going to have to clock the the driver's side alt a quarter turn so I have better access to the postive on it.
