It's like one main guy making the decisions and a few others helping him out. It didn't used to be like that. It was like everyone just understood where to show up and how things went, and if someone got out of line and wouldn't leave they got their ass beat. Then they changed locations because more people were coming and the parts store we were meeting at decided we couldn't meet there anymore and it's just gotten stupid... It's not even fun anymore. There's 150+ cars there every weekend, but they're all ridiculously tricked out (running methanol, spraying nos, all kinds of shit). Like I said, they only want heavily modified guys showing up. AND now people are constantly running races, which used to be a big no-no because that could get everyone in trouble. That's how the big club here is now. Only muscle cars or shit with a smallblock chevy motor swapped in. No tuners, thank god no rice, and they only have one guy allowed to be the car stereo guy...it's walled with 4 12's and does like a 147 off 5k. Lately there's been a bunch of little clubs pop up with just average joes and their daily drivers, then there's the guys with all out builds. The laid back smaller clubs are fun as hell to hang out with. The big club is full of whiney little assholes that get mad if somebody rolls into boost with cutouts open, or fucks with ricers. Word. It's like you have to like their ride or they get offended. Meanwhile, the rest of us are just, "Oh? I'm sorry. You don't like my ride? Are you driving it every day? Exactly." I enjoyed going to the meets before all that BS cause I'd always learn something new, which is really the point of it all to me. Have fun and learn something from each other.
