I haven't had a chance to put a big load in it because my amp is coming in today. BigManAC Posted June 11, 2015 Author Report Share Posted June 11, 2015 Today I got the amp in and I'm going to clean it up a bit and wrap the front plate. The alt is running good and charging great. The only problem I am having at this moment is alternator wine. I unplugged the RCAs and plug a rca to aux and it worked fine then I took out the HU and plugged a set from the back of the HU straight thru the cab to the amp and no noise but when I run the RCAs down behind the HU I get noise. BigManAC Posted June 15, 2015 Author Report Share Posted June 15, 2015 I found the source of the alternator whine. Its coming from the factory radio harness clip. I had the radio pulled out and the noise was coming in strong through the speakers and when I bumped the harness it made a pop and then shut off. Im going up to the salvage yard today to get another clip off of another saturn. Im and going to move the sub box forward a few inches and build an amp rack for the back to put both of the amps on. I am also going to be putting fans back there to keep the amps cool.
