AI James Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 Ive had bad experiences with the hifonics 4 channel amps before, the tend to cut off after long hours of play... the other amps dont seem to push out 2000rms... amps cutting off, is about 90 percent install error, the other 10 percent is usually faulty equipment. What midrange 10" and 8" are you running

White Lightning Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 i need a 4 or 2 channel amp to run 4 8" 250rms and 2 10" 500rms speakers, any suggestions? one amp preferably... I'm confused as to why you are running 8" midbass drivers and 10" midbass drivers in the same setup ...... And It would seem like you would need a 4 channel for the 8" drivers (depending on installation, but you might get away with a larger 2 channel bridged), and a 2 channel for the 10" drivers ... but I definately would not trust a single 4 channel amplifier for this ... Just saying Kenwood / HELIX / Linear Power (For The Love Of Music) / Brutal Sounds / OverKill Electric Co Questions About Sound Quality ?? Try Here ... Sound Quality, What does it REALLY mean ?? Just saying X2 You'd better get 2 powerful 4 channel amps. Look at the Crescendo. Don't focus too much on power In the Caribbeans, we like it loud, with lots of mids & highs !!! Bass is not all we like. black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp OEM head unit, Amplifiers : Audison AP 8.9 with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200. Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats. 2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a sealed box. SecondSkin Damplifier on front doors, and Luxury Liner Pro for the cargo area.
