99vic Posted February 25, 2008 Author Report Share Posted February 25, 2008 go with the bigger alt, stock ones just cant hold up to the current draw, ive been rollin with factory alt for 3 weeks now and ive been thru 5 alts, even tho its a 50 amp lol it can take it nicely for about 4-6 days then my voltage drops and it doesnt do anything at idle.... lol bigger is better im haveing my excessive amperage rebuilt and my leece neville , which when back should net me around 500-550 amps for my audio plus the factory 50 amp for stock elec. yeah i am looking for something good but there are to many choices. know of any decent priced alts? If so, maybe we can talk you through the box building process yea i hope i adjusted it right . it sounds great and the amp asnt maxed out so im assuming its goodi dont have any tools but im sure it would be a good investment i seen some pretty decent priced routers and saws at home depot that would be great if someone can walk me through it. i mean i wired my 4 pump 10 switch hydraulic system from someone telling me on the phone learned how to cut it out and weld everything by looking at pics. now i have done 2 of my own cars. i learn fast. so i think building a box might be pretty busy also. shit ill pay some one local to teach me to build one using their tools but doing it my self.
