Amart88 Posted August 13, 2013 Report Posted August 13, 2013 Just curious if great stuff fumes are safe near woofers/amps etc? I know some silicones/sealant fumes can damage gear. I want to finish sealing my wall but the woofers are loaded. Just being cautious. Thanks My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.

No, lol. Just sealing it with GS and then beauty panels. Just unsure about resin and GS fumes. My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.

SnowDrifter Posted August 13, 2013 Report Posted August 13, 2013 You cab always tape garbage bags around the front and back of your subs so they don't see the fumes. Or just unload them. I haven't heard if any horror stories either but that doesn't necessarily mean it's safe. Perhaps you could call the manufacturer and ask of the fumes are foam/rubber safe? ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

tacomaguy1 Posted August 13, 2013 Report Posted August 13, 2013 zcons aren't that bad to load lol I don't think it would be a problem Team Flex Issues
n8ball2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Report Posted August 13, 2013 Leave the doors open and hatch etc. It needs air to cure anyways. I did the foaming before loading though. Mainly because I dreaded loading them. Amart88 Posted August 13, 2013 Author Report Posted August 13, 2013 I will tape plastic over them and tape plastic in the port so no fumes will get into the box. And turn a fan on with doors + hatch open. Still be cool to find out technically though Not sure what chemical it is that eats rubber. They took me 1 1/2 hours to wire and load them all. Besides almost popping another hernia LOL don;t really want to take em' out. My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.
