soundstream15 Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 I have tsunami rcas, they look cheap, not so Much the cable but the ends look like a home stereo type. So was thinking about upgrading them, not sure if there would be a difference, I know wiring has a lot to do with your system. But what are some good rcas? And has anyone noticed a difference from switching. I would assume the ends meter th most..
SnowDrifter Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 Actually it's the cable itself that matters quite a bit. Shielding, conductor quality all play a role. Running Knu Krystal RCAs right now and I love them. A word though: They fit really tight ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
soundstream15 Posted September 4, 2013 Author Report Posted September 4, 2013 Oh, I always thought the ends matter. I bought mine 3 years ago, and they just look worn out lol I'll def check those rcas, seems like a good bit of folks run those

TheMonolith2001 Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 Yeah be careful with super tight RCAs. I have seen those monster cables rip the RCA plug right off they are so tight. I believe I even saw a tool online once for a couple bucks that stretches them out a bit so they aren't so tight. I have a run of monster cable just because I got it at cost. Not really because I believe their BS. They are good cables, just not worth what they charge for them. Having 6 RCAs on each end saved me a lot of work and I won't have to rip into everything again when I set up my triple amp madness! I have KNU power cable/distro blocks but not the RCAs and the quality is very good.
Real96SS Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 I run the SMD's and that's because I know the quality I'm getting with them. I have never had a problem with any rca's but I wanted to make sure that I didn't skimp out on quality this time round.
