The protective coverings people use on these wires help with noise I'm sure but if you can seperate why not? Did not like having lights on and off under dash. Try using a 1.5 amp fuse works better and safer. Been doing this for 30 years. Yes old school here. You will have to adjust ampereage of fuse. boom50cal Posted September 30, 2013 Report Share Posted September 30, 2013 I agree with n8... when I first put my shit in my truck I had the RCA wrapped around the power and ground wires and never once had an issue. Same for my 2 channel, no alternator whine but there is a ground noise. I think it's the amp though, because it still makes that noise in other vehicles and off straight battery power.
