Kranny
some trunk cars sound better firing back. others sound better sealed off firing forward.
N9neMillahhh
mine sounds better port/sub firing back. i'd get a dual prefab box from bestbuy or something, just to get it in the trunk and play around with it and see where it sounds best, then build a custom box to what these guys suggest for your sound, then put it where it sounded best to you. might not be the best way but it's just an idea. 02 Lexus IS300 (2JZ FTW) Mids/Highs: JL Audio C5 6.5s all around Mids/Highs Amp: JL Audio HD 600/4 Subs: four SA-8v2s in 3.8cubes @ 32hz Sub Amps: SAZ3k Battery: Huge Interstate Batteries relocated to trunk About 80ft. of 1/0 OFC.... Washim Joomun
I did an L port enclosure tune to ~31hz Do i need to worry about the sheet of metal blocking the port? its 4inches in front of itwhat do you guys think?
Joe X
It's likely better to do a port in the middle rather than on the side in your situation: Just don't push the box further forward, I wouldn't recommend but you consider at some point cutting the metal. fecupe2001
you planning on sealing everything from the back? if that´s not the case, i would use that box facing back , should get louder I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
