Joe X
No subs up in trunk cars, for those who are just in subs up will reduce efficiency and produce rattling which can be difficult to almost impossible to control in some cases. Two high powered 12s sealed off can do a way better job and will approach the cone area of a 18"so no point in trying to cram a 6 cubes net box in a trunk. shultzy
I know this a few months old but I got a 36"x 16"x28" in my 98 gp SOB to get in but will go Hey i'm about to build a box for my 99 grand prix gtp. Previously I think I started building a box that was roughly 35 x 16.5 x 17 and I couldn't get it through the trunk opening. I don't plan on building it as big as you have but i'm just curious as to how you got that through the trunk opening. The openings for the trunks in grand prix's aren't very forgiving for large boxes. I'm building a box for 2 alpine type r 12's and i was thinking 36 x 15 x 18. I think the reason why i had trouble before is because the box was too tall. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
garychurch84
When the weather warms back up I got to remove the box for sound deadening I'll take a few pics showing how I got it in there.and yes I can see that 1/2" being a problem trying to get that in there.you just cannot go any bigger in any direction than what my box is unless you want to build in the trunk.Make a mock up box with cardboard an see what you come up with
Beanz
Lol those Pontiac Grand prix openings for there truck are stupid small I had a hard time to fit a proper box for 2 12s let alone a just one 18 That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.
