What multimeter do you use?

It's time for me to invest in a quality multimeter.

I have heard Fluke are good (is that the name of the brand?)

What do you guys use? what do you recommend.

Fluke is a brand and they are probly the most well known "quality" DMM, but there are plenty of other good ones.

Like anything else, you get what you pay for.

I'd recommend getting one that does "TrueRMS" and that can read low resistances.

Also remember to factor in the resistance of your probe leads which can add in an additional 0.4ohms which can cause confusion depending in what you're measuring.

Fluke 88 is what I have now. I'm an automotive technician and used a sub par meter for like ten years never trusted the readings so it was basically worthless. If your going to use the meter a lot go with the buy once cry once strategy and get something quality. Definitely not saying fluke is the only good option just dont personally know of any other reputable brands.
