My uncle had it hes been in and out of the hospital for the past 6 months... he had to get 3 feet of intestine removed because of it.... had a calasomy bag he just got that removed last month ..it wasnt a good past 6 months

luckily, or at least i believe, they were able to save mine by letting it heal with the bypass and bag. 6 to 9 months before follow up surgery and got a nurse coming by my house every day since it's hard for me to get out and walk around a lot right now.

Been there had 18 inches removed here lost 60 pounds almost died also. Had bag for 3 months then 2 more surgeies from hernias formimg from scar tissue. Have kelvar mesh in to support intensives. Get well it is very painful.

they tried he went in because he couldn't use the bathroom.. they found that, Put him on a crap load of medication to try to clear it up didn't work. everything was messing his heart beat up, They told my Aunt that he was going to have a heart attack or die during the surgery, Thank God neither happened, He just now was able to go back to work thursday

Im not sure whst happened but be very thankful bobby got here first because I wiuld have done more of a cleanup

OP, glad you are ok now and got to the hospital in time.

I had no clue what diverticulitis was either until my father-in-law had a scare a while back. He had a bad scare with it and ended up having to go back in for surgery several times. -just be sure you take it easy for a good while, and if anything feels off at all, don't hesitate to get back to the DR asap.

It is all in what you eat. Watch out for seeds and nuts. They will kill ya along with popcorn. Watch carrots also. It runs in the family also. Had it 11 years ago intestive exploded was septic also. 18 inches removed was back in every week for infection and stoppages from scar tissue. You will have high abdominal hernias now. Had mesh in my abdominal area. Good luck!
