Karkov Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 I had custom center console full of wiring goodies that melted a wire once, was driving along in town at 30+ MPH and by the time i heard the hissing of wires melting the inside of the vehicle was so full of smoke I didn't even have time to pull over in fear of hitting a parked car because I could not see anything. Ended up just burning itself out, no big fire or anything, I never exited the vehicle, just let the smoke clear and went straight home. If there was someone behind me they could have rear ended me at I really didn't have time to do anything but stop where I was. Did you have aftermarket accessories coverage and they don't want to pay out for it or did you not have it? That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

I had PS2, power inverter, air bags compressor, switches for all amplifiers, gauges, and some other bullsh*t all wired up inside a home made center console (wood and fiberglass). A bunch of the wires melted their shielding and burnt but it stopped there. It was a bit of years ago now, (hell PS2 were popular) can't remember but I'm assuming a fuse finally blew or something. Sucked rewiring everything BUT i didn't lose much other than cheapo wire and time.
