mmotux
Hello! I would like some help! So I currently have TWO JL audio W1V2 12's and I am wondering If I should build a ported box tuned to around 35hz? Or should I stay sealed? What do you recomend with these subwoofers? Thanks! jarrius
I had the 10in version of that sub in a sealed box and loved how it sounded. Do i wish i tried portes with them hell yes but imo those subs in a sealed sounded great. 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
mmets
I prefer ported but mess around with them. slowfkncar
Depends on your selection of music. Most people buy w1/w3 because thay are quick at producing notes and actually dig low. If i remember correctly, they always sounded good tuned in the low low 30's. Tune at 30 not 35. And not to big of an enclosure. It will be a little louder in the 40hz area but it will surly get down at 30hz.
