You know them guys cars from OK are 2500-3000+whp it's not like they don't have fast cars. That gmc truck runs 6sec 1/4 miles pass after pass. And goes straight down the road. Them guys could have burnt the tires off at the start or went in the dirt just the same as the Cali guys but they didn't. Again, I think you're referring to it's 1/8 mile time. You'd have to be going over 220 miles per hour to do a 6 second 1/4 mile. Idk if that's how they race out there in OKC but in Cali we run nothing but 1/4 miles.
