Where do I find these packing materials?

Recommended Posts

I got this stuff when I bought some batteries a few years ago from ram designs. I always save my packing material, so it came in handy last time I needed to send in my alt to DC. Well, now I need to send it in again and I don't have enough this time. Trouble is neither UPS nor FedEx have it at their local stores

This is a foam wrap. Holds up really well under pressure, is slightly stretchy and when folded over a couple times, slightly springy

And this: it's some sort of 1" high density foam sheet. Works really well for lining a shipping box to add some rigidity, but has some give so if the package gets dropped, it will absorb and cushion the impact

Foam board from menards prolly. If you were local id give you some. On the springy foam it looks like the foam under hard wood floors so maybe try a store like that?

Home depot or Lowe's. They're both used as insulation, but double as shipping/packing material.

Found the rigid foam (tough to find on search engines because it all shows up as firm furniture foam)

Yup, I'd find the thinner stuff for you, but I'm on mobile, and you're right about shit being tough to narrow down on the search results lol

My Walmart has them. IIRC I found them in the Home Improvement section.
