Great Watt Per Dollar Amp

It is high port velocity that will mess with output, low velocity is not going to give you unwanted noise.

Think of it as water you are spitting our of a straw, you blow a little and the water stays together you blow really hard you make that water look awful.

There is a lot more to this topic, I just tried to make it really simple.

Krakin's Home Dipole Project

http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

you think you want bass? i havent even done a 140 in the past two years. i have two dc woofers, two aq 1200's and two fosgate 200a4's just sitting in my room, not to mention like four sets of mids and highs. and i cant even use them.

Will you take the cover off one of those 1200's and take some photos? For the love of amp guts and the amp guts section?

David Bailey has some photos in amp guts but I want MACRO. ahemm we want macro

i dont have a macro camera. there are tons of aq1200/sq1200 board shots on the internet though.

.125 ohms is 1/8th the resistance of 1 ohm. almost a dead short. 8 TIMES lower resistance. its like going from 8 ohms to 1.

box rise will help...but it wont help THAT much.

please do not rely on box/impedance rise to make the amp not protect.

Ya know, it can be used, and used to make power for sure.

Let it help, YES, rely on it.. meh..

Get another amp.

Yeah... My wording throughout the post has been pretty shitty, to be honest... I'm not sure I understand the difference between the m1 and m1u.

Sorry if i came off as a cock. But, .. it happens a lot here.

So, ... I apologize also.

The B2's we run are the M1s .. 2 strapped at .5 nominal, we could not make it work.

Wired up, and the fuckers pound 2 lev 6m2's.

just what we found
