White Lightning
Thanks. I was just being facetious.....more or less a sarcastic response based on everything you read online.I won a complete Kicker system from SMD System of the Month a while back ... Installed it into my son's car for his high school graduation present and I can promise you ... that thing JAMS !!! Well worth the trouble in install time ... Kicker makes a good product ... Always has. If not, they wouldn't be one of the very few Car Audio companies that has lasted for 20 plus years ... If you kid around, would you please use some other brand than Kicker ??? alaskanzx5
Like cable guy said it's bit really about the money you spend. One of the most important thing to remember about sq is that staging everything just right will go a long way. Post pics for him and i'm sure he could help you with placement ideas. Don't forget craigslist and the for sell section for good amps. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. n8ball2013
I would start by slimming down your front stage. That's a bit much ok the front stage for such a small sub end foot print THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger. kirill007
Do you already have all this equipment? No, saving up and planning to purchase. I have my mind set on the 3-way set going activ and HU. Have you done 2 way active properly before? If you answer no, then certainly don't try 3way active. Why go active if you use existing components? You can start out a lot cheaper and maybe even sound better if you want to do some effort Thinking is the root of all problems... Rabbit
Thanks for all the responses guys! But two reaons I'm wanting to go large up front is because 1. To keep up with the sub if i run the sub @ 600RMS and 2. I wont be able to add later down the road. Once i get everything this time that's it because of other things that will be going on. I understand trying to get the imaging etc with 6 drivers will be tricky to do, but with that HU and alot of time i should be able to get it pretty good. I'm not wanting true SQ mainly SQL that sounds really damn good. I couldn't find my camera so i found some pics on my equinox online of the A-Pillers etc. Even though this isn't the colour of my truck or the right seats everything is bout the same wwhen it comes to the door panels etc

Guest
my friend has a malibu that does 148's with 2 12's on music...he has the stock front components on aftermarket headunit power and they keep up fine. you dont need like 1000w of mids and highs to keep up with a 600w sub. n8ball2013
That is going to depend on how they are tuned. If you want to have at it. Let's put it this way.
