never knows best Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 thought this was common knowledge... speaker companies have been doing this since forever... I cant be 100% sure in ever case, i don't work at soundqubed- also, you may be able to tell the difference in the thickness of the fibers... but probably not-
iKidwell Posted March 5, 2014 Author Report Posted March 5, 2014 at this point i'm just waiting on them to open so i can call c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old. i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer. 2003 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan Build in Progress
Skullz Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 More importantly is to make sure the coils read the same regardless of spider color, if the coils read different from one sub to the other than that is a bigger issue than what color was used on the spiders. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
Ahmed Johnson Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 They do have excellent customer service. Only problem is you have to pay shipping.
Nikitaaa Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 In my opinion, unless they conact him and specify that he can either wait for parts or use old suspension, he shouldn't be getting a product that looks different then the picture advertised. Its like getting an amp but getting it in "old casing". It will harm the resale value especially if he is selling as a pair. 2007 M/T Honda Civic Coupe EX (4) Sundown Audio X-8's (2) Ampere Audio 3800.1's (3) Stinger SPV-44 Batteries (1) Mechman 240 3:1 Ratio 4th order sealed from the trunkTEAM NWSPLBest termlab scores to date in Honda trunk:151.7db legal (official) IASCA trunk 3 classBest termlab scores to date in my walled Subie:152.9db legal (unofficial) IASCA advanced 2 class155db outlaw

Are you sure that's a bigger issue? Seems like you are guessing too. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
CortezDTV Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Meh... This shouldn't happen period... I mean fuck the dude loading the boxes just wasn't paying attention It should have been obvious. I mean it was written on the outside of the box.... There just lucky they didn't have me on the receiving end... they would be paying shipping in their dime.... fuck that... you paid for 2 subs exact same sub.... Might as well have each color of the fucking rainbow on the magnets U guys would justify it like "o well I doesn't effect performance " SCSB Santa Cruz Speaker Box Build logs: Daily Driver Lemon Marquis 2 american bass 750.1s 350.4 on 14 focal 6.5s sq 945 on 4 hertz tweeters Mystery subs http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 The Mustang 'dubbed' Shirley the project from bullet holes to badass http://www.stevemead...cond-skin-time/
Skullz Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Sometimes they run out of one color of the same type of spider, that doesn't mean it's a bad speaker for it, and has been said if your not inverting them to be shown then who the hell cares what they look like. You paid for 2 subs and you got exactly that! 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
CortezDTV Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 If you ordered at 2 separate times I could understand. ... but this is the same order placed at the same time So next time you get new subs skullz spray paint one magnet orange the other poo brown What's the big deal it doesn't effect performance.... Ya the spiders might perform the same... but they don't look the same... and he paid to have 2 identical subs It's like getting a car one side has normal wheels that go with the car the other has ugly steel wheels.... but thy are same size blah blah blah Ya you would totally buy that car vs the one next to it with all 4 same wheels.... That's the problem with buying stuff you can't see first... If op was able to see the subs in front of the person selling them... they would have instantly changed it for 2 matching ones.... hdorre Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 fuck that... you paid for 2 subs exact same sub.... Correct me if Im wrong, but didn't he directly pay for 2 10" sdc2.5s?
