JEFFYBOI
Anyone recommend any kind of sealant when mounting your subs in a enclosure? I made my own box and when i mounted the subs i noticed a small amount of air leaking through. It is flush and level and i didn't strip out any screws so it is a very solid clean mount but i still feel air passing through. mothra
if you do use silicone, use a small bead on the edge of the wood. apply the small bead first and let it dry before mounting your subs. if nothing changes, nothing changes You don't know what you don't know, till you don't know
ChevyBoy95
dont use silicone, makes a mess sometimes and makes it a bitch to get out, just go to your local hardware store and get some thin weather stripping, will work easily and wont stick to the wood, along with sealing it well. JEFFYBOI
I don't know if I would really consider it a gasket but yeah it has a rubber ring that goes all the way around the sub. Amart88
Dont ever use silicone on, or around woofers. The fumes it produces can damage the woofers soft parts. My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.
