Is This Safe?

Recommended Posts

I just got some new terminals and the this was the only way the stock battery cables would fit. They must be hooked up for the car to run. Do I have another option for a battery tie down? The terminal it is sitting next to is the positive. It just worries me ya know? CameraZOOM-20140327211118842.jpg

as long as both do NOT move at ALL, you should be fine. I'd wrap the end of that terminal in electrical tape if it was me though.

Edit; Could always use a tie down strap, too.

Also I put some plastidip on the metal tie dowm if that makes a difference. It's on the sides of it. I didn't have time to do the top yet.

If you have a Dremel or something similar, trim the edge of that battery tie down

That would drive me insane....^^^This is what I would do

CameraZOOM-20140329153751325.jpg done. I accidentally touched one of the screws heads when tightening it and scared the crap outta me. It's all good though. Much more clearance. I tugged on the tie down either way and it wouldn't budge. So my worries are gone.
