Tinsel leads burned up and caught the spider on fire. Now in deciding if I wanna keep my car or get a small suv. Looking at an Oldsmobile bravada. Or a jimmy. If I get an suv, then I have to decide if I want to fix the sp4, or go with 4 sound qubed hds3 12's, or 3 hds3 15'sWhat would you do? I am so torn! Lol I would get more sp4s not hds3 but to each their own Im not really surprised your sub blew with tinsel leads, it was happening alot If you recone it will be with foad leads I asked fi audio what foad stands for and they said "whatever you want it to stand for" lol if you decide to keep your trunk you really gotta seal it off, the difference for me was huge especially on the low end Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It was loud, but i was expecting more from it honnestly. That being said, it was only on like 2/3 power at most! we shall see. Ordered the recone for the sp4. That should be here in about 2 weeks. Got the basket all cleaned up and ready for the recone. And as for my amp, Sold my lanzar amp and bought a sq 3500! Will also be ordering a spool of 0 gauge to add 2 runs of ground from front to back. Hopefully that will help with my voltage issues. Will also be upgrading big 3 wires to ofc. Everything should be up and running in about a month or so!
