I don't think I've ever ran a sub amp at 1ohm

Me either. The person who got me into car audio just kinda advised me. He had me at .5 with an saz1500 in my first setup and as I learned etc I never really looked back.

But I thought it just be interesting to see how SMD fell as far as what they run their stuff at.

If a mod wants to change the questions or improve the poll go for it. Its hard on mobi lol

If you got money coming out of your ass and don't mind beating the living shit out of your equipment then drop it low. This is why I won't buy a used amp off just anyone. My opinion on it is if you compete and every 10th matters then you do what you can. If it's daily then your just wearing on your equipment faster than needed.

I run at 2-ohms. Thought about going to 8 ohms a few times.

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

If you can keep an amp cool and give it an infinite current supply then go for gold and run sub-0.5 range. I think it would be cool for someone to get a fat battery bank going, and hook it to a watercooled amp and see how low they can wire it before smoke.

I will be running 4Ω on my SA8 because I'd rather baby my Power 1000 than not.

It would be alot cleaner if there were sub as in secondary questions sonit would be more concise.

So your telling me your not lowering the life of an amplifier by running it so low? No harm of any kind? Not even a risk? Eh say what you want. I don't buy it. Your a competitor so do what you gotta do. I'm going to take care of my shit.
