Did you consider pushing the box all the way back, instead of right up to the seat opening?

I tried it with the rear dexk unsealed. It made it play substantially lower but didnt get as loud, at 2 ohms. Voltage isn't too bad at 1/2 while driving. Worst i drop to playing taking chances is 12.3. Soonroof hates its life at anything below 28.

I see you did the ground by connecting it to the chassis of the car...

Much better to use a direct cable from the rear to the front of the car since the Volvo chassis has to much resistance.
