I had wired down to 1. I checked before I actually hooked up to the amp. I didn't listen to it that much tonight so I will check on the way to work tomorrow. And retune with the car runing tomorrow.

dont tune with car on.. use common sense. if you are dropping to 12v with car on why tune at 14v.. all you will do is introduce clipping to the subs..

also get rid of that stinger meter.. to slow to really show how low you are getting. could be dropping to 10v for all you know

i would say its either clipping or your subsonic filter is not set high enough .

Thats a lil odd.

I dont know those drivers. Do you have plenty of port? (i started a thread asking about hot drivers, having to do with port area)

Also, You WILL make it worse, if you DD1 at 14v (car running, alt on) than with the key just turned over (battery rest) I tune with headlights and ac fan on, because, well, even with a lot of elctrical support, i still sag to battery rest after 4 or 5 songs. Shit happens.

that said, i also think, when you were wired at 2ohm, you where more seeing 4ohm power. Now, at 1 ohm, and new enclosure (the larger size reduces rise also) MAYBE your seeing closer to the power you THOUGHT you where previously, and... well... dey gets da hot. :shrug:

Id be carful though. Sounds like your at unwind teritory .

EDIT- what track did you tune with? playing nothing but decaf, and or below tuning do a safe -5 only

(which, is what im willing to bet you did, but, thought id ask)

I personally would tune with the car running. There maybe some who tune with the car off, but i never understood the reasoning. After all i'm willing to bet you listen to your stereo most of the time with the car running.

mmhm. if you tune gains with car off, you're sitting at high 12's probably. with the car running and you dip into the 12's when full tilt, thats why you tune with the car off.

I plan to get a better volt meter, I want to get the SMD one but even in my new car, still don't have space in any stock locations to fit one. Before and now I tuned with the -10 track. The songs I smelled yesterday, weren't even on decaf tracks. They where a bunch of other songs I used to listen off of my phone.
