I was watching tv with a friend at his house when a bang on the door by the police department alerted us, I walked outside to see the fire department spraying water in my car through the smashed windows, apparently a neighbor called the cops when my car was pouring out smoke from the slightly open front windows. thankfully she was alerted quick and i believe my system was saved, i am still letting it dry out. I am now waiting on insurance to tell me weather the car is salvageable. I dont have an image hosting website so I posted the pictures in my garage.

I suppose it's possible for one to malfunction, but even then I don't know how it would result in this. If the battery failed, it's still inside of the metal casing. If something shorted out, you'd think the fuse for the lighter adapter would have popped... Freak accident, and sucks though. Whatever happened, Sorry for your loss.
