Triticum Agricolam
How about that ported box? im guessing it wont work very well eh? I have had a couple conversations with people about a box design like that. My first impression was that it would not work. I thought the sound wave coming off the cone would work against the wave coming out the port and they would cancel each other out to some extent. However after more thought I think it should work. When the port is at max output there is pretty much nothing coming from the cone, and vice-versa, so they shouldn't cancel each other out. I can't tell you for certain that it will work, the best I can do is say that I THINK it will. If you want to get give a try and let us know what you get, that would be really awesome :-) "Nothing prevents people from knowing the truth more than the belief they already know it.""Making bass is easy, making music is the hard part."Builds:
sbg
Right on to you if it works, but if your that commitment why not just wall. I mean to me it just sounds stupid to go into all that BS to do 18s just because they are 18s. If build your box right for a pair of 15s it can be as loud and low. It could just be that every other day I hear something about someone putting 18s in a trunk, most time in something not realist. But if anyone has a batter box idea for me that would be great. I dont want any trunk rattle so thats why i wanted to port though the read deck. 1997 subaru legacy outback Four 15's in a almost wall Rockford Fosgate t2500-1bdcp Rockford Fosgate T400-4 on tweets Rockford Fosgate T400-4 on highs Rockford Fosgate T400-2 on midrange Rockford Fosgate T400-2 on midbass Optima Yellow top batteries 270A Singer alt (working on a bracket for a second) Lots of Second Skin

OrionStang
unless i can have the sub as part of the port like this How about the port along the top of the box and exiting out the rear deck? Then it wouldn't pass in front of the subs. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
SlamminBeats
this is one of those things you need to just do without saying because everyone is going to tell you otherwise. Just try it out and see. Your not the first person who said they think they can fit 18s in a caddy. are these trunks really that big lol? i personally doubt it will fit but try it if you really want. OrionStang
Like so. The shaded area in front of the sub could either be left open at the top (don't know how that would sound), or enclosed to be the sealed section of your 4th.
