Syphlyn Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 My new amp has a dial for each one. (SAZ-2000D) Low pass filter: 35hz-300hz Sub Sonic: 10hz-60hz. I'll be setting my low pass at 60hz Should my sub sonic be set at half an octave below tuning. Box is tuned to 32 hz so I should set sub sonic @ 24? Now for the tricky part. With the dials being so vast. How do I make sure I've set it specifically to 60 and 24 and not say 50 and 20? Is it just a guessing game or is there some method I'm not aware of to make sure they're set at the right levels? Thanks guys please correct me if I should be setting my filters at different levels. Pioneerchuck Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 Ideally using a DD1 or an O-Scope would be the proper way to set your gains and filters. However you can do it the old fashion way and play it by ear but If I were you Id see if someone around you has an oscope or a dd1.
Syphlyn Posted July 27, 2014 Author Report Posted July 27, 2014 I have a dd1 but how do I use it to set the filters to the correct freq? OrionStang Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 You need a CC-1 to set the crossover frequencies. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

Syphlyn Posted July 27, 2014 Author Report Posted July 27, 2014 So there's no other way besides a CC1. So it's a guessing game basically where you have it set too...
