Definitely need to build a new enclosure this one will do for now, but I think subs up port back is going to sound much better than this side firing ported box.

I'd guess that crowding the port too close to the rear hatch won't do much better than crowding it into the side.

Actually it's not getting crowed on the side firing box nor will it be on the rear firing box, its all about what the vehicle likes better. The car the current box was designed for LOVED this side firing port, however since I have changed to an SUV, it is well known by SUV owners that subs up and port back is the best method. And there will be 10" between the box and the rear of the jeep on this new enclosure.

So took the holiday weekend and started on my box should have it finished up and carpeted today.

Woodfiller is drying, going to give it a nice 4 hours to dry and for the hottest part of the day to pass, the rest is simple from here, should have it in the jeep tomorrow playing!

Here is the box done, and MAN its freaking HOT outside!

I am gonna hold off till tomorrow to swap out the box because I want to change how the batteries are sitting at the same time. More pics tomorrow after I get it swapped in!
