hispls
I used to go out a couple times a year when I lived near the ocean. We had hit or miss results just going with a random scrub who has a boat, always did much better going with experienced/established charter captains. These guys get you on the fish and they all work together to let each other know where the bite is. You definitely get what you pay for, and if you go for a bottom fishing boat don't even bother with a "half day"... you'll be just out of the harbor catching mackerel, bluefish, skate and dogfish for a couple hours. Anything worthwhile on the bottom is a full day trip or better yet an overnight trip. Tuna are very close to shore when they're running up my way but you need to be on a boat with the gear to catch them.
corey0928
My aunts boyfriend goes out all the time. They live on a canal that goes out to the ocean in florida. Only time i went caught a couple "small" fish we used for bait and hooked a marlin only to have it jump out of the water and spit the hook
Polar
swordfishing is the same. Spend hours of prep, no trip is less than about 500 bucks. Get out to the grounds at night around 8 or so. Then sit, and wait, and drink. Watch rods double over, fight for an hour spit the hook lol. 2000 Ford Ranger Sport Ext Digital Designs DD915J 4.91 net birch box, inch port @ 33hz FSD FZ2600 FSD FZ100.4 Pioneer DEH80PRS PRV Audio 6MB200-4 6-1/2" Midbass Woofers Tymphany BC25SC08-04 1" Silk Dome Neodymium Tweeters with Waveguide

baron_of_bass
Sweet catches fellas. I can't wait to go on a boat. I'm good with the pier for now. It's only a matter of time before I snag that thresher. Team Bass-Hz
